Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (PYO)
Students in grades 7 – 12 make up the majority of PYO musicians with a few advanced students in grades 4 – 6. Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. during the school year. Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir (CICC)
Open to students in grades 4 – 9, CICC has a Descant Choir for beginning and intermediate singers and a Concert Choir for more advanced singers. Rehearsals are in Columbus from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. on Monday (Concert Choir) and Tuesday (Descant Choir) during the school year. Vocal assessments take place from May through September by appointment and during Choral Festival Summer Choir Camp. CICC is a collaborative effort between the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and the Indianapolis Children’s Choir.
The Philharmonic Chorus is open to those age 18 and up. No audition is needed – just the desire to sing with a group that enjoys performing choral works with the Philharmonic Orchestra.
