Exhilarating! Daniel McKinley and the power of the Aeolian-Skinner organ combined with the brilliance of your great orchestra…
Ravishingly beautiful, Lauridsen’s lush choral-orchestral work is one of the most compelling pieces of music written in the late 20th Century. Philharmonic Chorus member, Joan Vogel, says of Lux Aeterna, “A lot of music expresses the composer’s emotions, but there’s something extra about the lush harmony in this work that actually generates emotions within the listener. It floats and swirls and carries me away. If I was stranded on a desert island with only one piece of music, this would be it!”
