In light of the current public health crisis, and with the deepest concern for all those affected, the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic is cancelling its 20th Anniversary Salute! concert, scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2020. Artistic Director and Conductor David Bowden, the musicians, the Salute! committee, and our entire community have eagerly anticipated this special tribute to our veterans for the past 19 years. Words cannot adequately express our disappointment with the necessity of cancelling the concert.
Although we cannot gather in person this year, we are honored to remember the many brave men and women who have given their lives throughout the history of our great nation – your loved ones, friends and neighbors made the ultimate sacrifice, and we want to salute each of them. We ask you to STAND UP AND SUPPORT SALUTE with a donation and dedication that we will acknowledge in our annual program printed and distributed by The Republic during the week of Memorial Day Weekend.
Help us celebrate the lives sacrificed for our freedom – make a donation in honor or in memory of someone who served or is serving our country, and we’ll print it in the special edition of The Republic’s Memorial Day publication. Additionally, your name will appear in our program book donor section which is distributed at each concert.
Click here to donate online or send us your donation form via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to 315 Franklin Street, Columbus, IN 47201. To ensure your dedication is printed in time, please submit your donation form no later than May 13, 2020.
We are all experiencing trying times. Together, with each other’s help, we will return to normalcy as a nation. Just because we cancelled the concert doesn’t mean we can’t SALUTE! our deserving veterans. Stay Safe.
