Versatile leading man Norm Lewis has lent his powerful baritone to leading roles as varied as Javert in Les Misérables, Billy Flynn in Chicago, the original King Triton in The Little Mermaid, and the first African-American behind the mask in Phantom of the Opera. A year after being featured in the starry Broadway ensemble of Sondheim on Sondheim, he was tapped to play the title hero in Porgy & Bess (Tony nominated!). Other Broadway credits include Wild Party, Miss Saigon, The Who’s Tommy, and Once On This Island, and the musical movie performance of Jesus Christ Superstar that aired live on NBC in April 2018.
