First United Methodist Church (Chorus Rehearsals)

is located in the downtown Columbus area on 8th Street between Lafayette Avenue
and Pearl Street. The parking lot is east of the church and can be accessed
from 8th or 9th streets.

FROM I-65 or the WEST (Bloomington) via STATE ROAD 46
From I-65, take State Road 46 east (exit 68) to Columbus. Follow State Road 46
through the stop light at the State Road 11 intersection. Move into the center lane
as you cross the red bridge. When the road splits, go right onto 2nd Street. Get into
the left lane. You will cross Washington Street. At Franklin Street, turn left. Go north to 8th Street and turn right. Go one block. Watch out for the 2-way stop at 8th and Lafayette. Just past the 2-way stop the church is on your left. The parking lot
entrance is a left turn just beyond the church.

FROM I-65 or the NORTH via US HIGHWAY 31
From I-65, take US 31 south (exit 76A) to Columbus. Follow US 31 into Columbus
(do not take the Route 11 "downtown" exit). At the Washington Street intersection
(approximately 6 miles from exit 76A), turn right. Go south through several stoplights
to a 4-way stop at 8th Street . Turn left onto 8th Street and go two blocks. Watch out for the 2-way stop at 8th and Lafayette. Just past the 2-way stop the church is on your
left. The parking lot entrance is a left turn just beyond the church.

FROM the EAST and CINCINNATI
Take I-74 west toward Indianapolis. Take Route 3 south (exit 134A) toward
Greensburg. Merge onto Route 3 south (6.6 miles). Route 3 south becomes State Road
46 west (24.5 miles). Do not turn left when State Road 46 junctions with State Road 9.
Instead continue straight (west) on 25th Street through Columbus. Where 25th Street ends, turn left onto Washington Street. Go south to the 4-way stop at 8th Street.
Turn left onto 8th Street and go two blocks. Watch out for the 2-way stop at 8th and
Lafayette. Just past the 2-way stop the church is on your left. The parking lot
entrance is a left turn just beyond the church.

FROM the SOUTHEAST on ROUTE 7
Take Route 7 through east Columbus where Route 7 is called State Street. Route 7 becomes 3rd Street heading west toward downtown Columbus. At the stop light at
Franklin Street, turn right and go 5 blocks to 8th Street. Turn right onto 8th Street
and go one block. Watch out for the 2-way stop at 8th and Lafayette. Just past the
2-way stop the church is on your left. The parking lot entrance is a left turn just
beyond the church.

FROM the SOUTH on ROUTE 11
Take Route 11 north to Route 46. Angle right toward the red bridge and
downtown Columbus. Move into the center lane as you cross the bridge. When the
road splits, go right onto 2nd Street. Get into the left lane. You will cross Washington
Street. At the next intersection, turn left onto Franklin Street. Go 8th Street. Turn
right onto 8th Street and go one block. Watch out for the 2-way stop at 8th and
Lafayette. Just past the 2-way stop the church is on your left. The parking lot
entrance is a left turn just beyond the church.
