ABOUT RICK VALE
Rick Vale, singer-songwriter & actor, has been a professional singer for the last forty years; singing on stages and in recording studios across the nation. Although a former opera singer for companies in the Pacific Northwest (including Seattle Opera) and the East Coast (NY), performing roles many operas, he most enjoys the Musical Comedy stage. Some of his favorite roles, performed in the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, include ”Che” in Evita, “Sid” in The Pajama Game, and “Gomez” in The Addams Family. As an actor in non-musicals, he has enjoyed performing such roles as, “Claudius” in Hamlet, “Count Dracula” in Dracula, “Horace Vandergelder” in The Matchmaker, and “Lt. Col. Nathan Jessup” in A Few Good Men.
As a composer/songwriter, his concert works have been performed around the world; from here in the United States to Novosibirsk, Siberia. His Art Songs have been performed at Carnegie Hall, his symphonies performed in Seattle and Indiana, his ballets all along the West Coast of the US. As a songwriter, his songs (lyric & music) have been performed by such artists as Sandi Patty (who alone has recorded eight of his songs).
He currently works as Artistic Director of the acclaimed Alley Theatre, soloist with The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, Chairman of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra Board, Guest Soloist, Actor, Stage Director & Writer. He is also Pastor at Central Christian Church in Anderson, Indiana, where he lives.
